Truthfully, many people would not feel good sleeping at night without locking the doors in their houses.  Then why would these folks not even think about the private files that they dispose of in the garbage on a regular basis?  The fact remains that most people are not very aware of the way to handle their vulnerable papers.  With a paper shredder, it is extremely easy to protect your identity.
